A-Z Advertising began in 1980 as a distributor of promotional products. When president Mary Anne Wassel purchased the business in 1990, she quickly saw a need in the Lancaster community for a company that could silkscreen and embroider apparel on-site. Having an in-house production facility allowed A-Z maximum control over quality and turnaround time, and the company quickly became one of the most highly regarded providers of custom imprinted goods in the area.

As A-Z's customer base grew, the need for more production space became evident. The business moved to Granite Run Corporate Center in 1994. By 2001, A-Z Advertising had once again outgrown their space, and moved to the current location at 961 Stony Battery Road; the new building offered more production space, more offices to accommodate a growing staff, and a full-sized showroom. A new six head embroidery machine gave A-Z the ability to complete a growing number of orders on time and with added precision.

With the production area functioning at maximum efficiency,
A-Z was able to focus on improving the quality and range of services they could provide. Investments in technology and training helped to successfully launch the business into the 21st century. A-Z currently offers complete graphic design services, online company store programs, a searchable online database of available products, virtual spec samples, and other tools designed to make a customer's experience easy and enjoyable. Technology hasn't replaced personal attention, however; the account executives at A-Z continue to provide the outstanding service available only through a small company. Calls are returned promptly, a live person always answers the phone, and customers are treated with honesty and respect. Commitment to service and quality has kept A-Z Advertising growing for more than twenty years.
